E-mail DNC Chair Gov. Howard Dean (Organizing)
Do you think Sen. Clinton's campaign tactics and rouge comments on DNC policy are unacceptably divisive?

Take a minute to let DNC Chair Gov. Howard Dean why he needs to step in rebuke Sen. Clinton and mandate ethical conduct for this campaign.

Please be respectful and illustrate what it means to be ethical no cursing or slander please.

WV State Meeting for Obama Groups (Organizing)
Hello Everyone,
We have finalized our plans for the WV State Meeting for Obama groups and would like to invite you and/or a representative of your group to attend. It will be Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Mountain Lakes Amphitheater in Sutton (Flatwoods exit off I-79). This is the geographic center of the State and we're having people from Princeton, Shepardstown, Huntington, Charleston and other locations that will have to drive a long way, so this seems the best place for everyone. Registration will begin at 10:00 AM and the formal part of the meeting will be over by 3:30 PM (including time for lunch). We will have work group meetings and a communications workshop after the formal part of the meeting and we'll be done by 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided by the Days Inn (who is renting us the facility) at a fee of $12.95 per person. It will include soup, sandwich and drink (vegetarian alternatives will be provided). Coffee, tea and water along with fruit will be available throughout the meeting.

The room can hold 80 people and we must know who will be eating, so we are pre-registering people who will attend. Please RSVP as soon as possible to insure that you can have a space and a meal if you want. In order to be fully open with everyone, the room costs $500 with the deal that most people attending will eat. This is the best we could come up with and we are happy to let you know that we've received a generous donation to these efforts that will pay for the room fee. We all are very appreciative of this donar's effort, and of the Obama Community at large throughout our State and the Country. Having said that, we want everyone to come and no one is to be excluded because of money.

Respond to Phil Rolleston via email (phil@rushrun.com). Because of the size limit, we'll take first come, first serve.

Those who will attend will receive an agenda via email (and upon request by mail). We encourage you to look at it and make suggestions to us before the meeting. Any updates will be made available to everyone.

If you have agenda suggestions now please forward them to me: phil@rushrun.com or to Trudy at: tlaur@yahoo.com .

Trudy Laurenson will facilitate the meeting. Trudy does this professionally and has helped our group meetings tremendously (Greenbrier Valley West Virginians for Obama). We will include all voices and will address every item on the agenda. We all should go home from this meeting with concrete plans of action and a sense of urgency to accomplish our goals.

There has been so much action around the State in the past couple of weeks and we want to commend all of you for your efforts. When you Respond to Register, please include your name, address, phone, email and let us know if you will be eating. This will make the registration check-in process much faster and we will have name tags and info packets ready for you.

I guess that's it for now. Any suggestions or communications should go through me (Phil) and I'll try to respond in a timely manner. Feel free to call me at home or on my cell. I'll be in Georgia working for the campaign later this week but will monitor email and answer my cell.

Thanks Everyone,
Phil Rolleston

Thanks for posting this (4.00 / 1)
I just signed up for the Obama state meeting on Saturday in Flatwoods.  I'll post an update about how it goes.

It will be fun meeting some other progressives. Anyone else going?

Jim

In a good conversation everyone speaks.  In a great conversation some even listen.

I won't be. I'm feeling time starved at the moment between work, family and blogging. As we get closer to the primary, I'll probably get more active in the presidential race.
