It was worth the wait to see the Beckley, WV Town Hall Meeting with Barack Obama this afternoon. There was a huge crowd and lots of enthusiasm. Barack was right on and did very well fielding questions from the crowd.  He was introduced by Senator Jay Rockefeller and his wife Sharon.  Its late now... I will pass on more comments tomorrow.  From the looks of the crowd and their warm reception for Obama, I think that Obama may do better than the pundits and polls suggest.  He has promised to come back not just to the state, but also to the southern part of the state.

I am trying a slide show with lots of pictures... please be patient

I was there with two of my students from WVU Tech. They had never been to a political rally before and what an introduction to the political process they received! They and I were impressed by the size of the crowd and the organization that the Obama team put together for this event. The comparison to the Kerry Rallys that I attended is unbelievable, this Obama team really knows what they are doing and are doing it very well indeed.

Great pictures.
