Rockefeller urges West Virginians to vote for Obama

Jay Rockefeller for Barack Obama

Last night I had the opportunity to hear Sen. Jay Rockfeller give one last pitch to West Virginians on why to vote for fellow Sen. Barack Obama in the West Virginia primary.

Sen. Rockefeller has spoken quite eloquently about how much he trusts Obama and how much he feels Sen. Obama is the right person to lead us through the turbulent times ahead.

Below are pictures of Martinsburg, WV Obama supporters taken prior to the event.

Why didn't JayRock's opinion Count? (4.00 / 1)
We voted for JayRock but didn't follow his advice, what's that all about?  Well I'll tell you Jay it's all about the tele com immunity scandal.  Why didn't you just let the cards fall where they may, huh?  Instead you gotta jump on the ill-fated Bush and his cronies bandwagon and cover for them. Those who instigated spying on US citizens illegally should lose themselves not just the ones they endorse. Thanks Jay for helping Obama lose, that really doesn't make sense does it?

I seriously don't know anyone who voted for Rockefeller (4.00 / 2)
Back when Kerry was running, I was at the Dem's "get the vote out" gathering at WV State College where Rockefeller was keynote speaker. The energy level was really high until he took th podium and droned on and on about who knows what. At the end, he said "I'll let you all in on a little secret. I've seen the numbers and Kerry's a sure win in WV!".
Now don't get me wrong here. I won't blame the loss on Jay any more than I blame Charlotte Pritt's loss on him (he backed her as well). But I sure as hell don't trust him as far as I could throw him.

I voted for Obama and Barth in the primary DESPITE his endorsement, and I'll work for BOTH of their campaigns. But I won't be handing out any Rockefeller literature door-to-door in my neightborhood anytime soon because of his wacko stances on the Iraq war and my civil liberties.

BTW senator Jay hasn't responded to my request for a copy of his latest blanket telecom immunity proposal, either.

I'm starting to think that perhaps his office figures I'm not a "major stakeholder" regarding how he's so insistent on bargaining away my rights.
