ANTHRAX SCARE AT UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN

Michigan football practice was delayed nearly two hours late this morning after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Rich Rodriguez immediately suspended practice while police and federal agents were called to investigate.

After a  complete analysis, FBI forensic experts determined that the white substance, unknown to the players, was the goal line. Practice was resumed this afternoon after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Oh, wait, I resemble that remark.
We are All Carnacki.

Two young guys in the back of the upstairs off sit next to each other with just one of those Dilbert office cubicles separating time. One co-worker wears WVU gear. I like his photo of DINGLE and BERRY on the bench. Another has Michigan on almost every tee shirt.

College football's winningest team has tumbled like the stock market, losing a school-record eight games and getting beat a Michigan Stadium-record five times at home.

For the first time since 1974, the Wolverines will be relegated to watching bowl games.

Even MR. CA, who was not a football fan, is paying attention to UM and we will All Be Buckeyes this weekend.

Ohio State blows out rival Michigan

#10 Ohio State 42, Michigan 7

Ohio State has never dominated Michigan the way it does right now. In the rivalry's most lopsided result in 40 years, the Buckeyes won their fifth straight over that hated school up north for the first time, ending a dreadful first season for Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez.

West Virginia 35, Louisville 21

Pat White used the WVU win today to break several NCAA records

White broke the NCAA record for career yards rushing by a quarterback in leading the Mountaineers to a 35-21 victory over Louisville on Saturday. The senior ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns to give him 4,292 yards for his career, breaking the record of 4,289 set by former Missouri quarterback Brad Smith from 2002-05.

The rushing mark wasn't the only record White took down against the Cardinals. He added two passing touchdowns to bring his career total for touchdowns accounted for to 98, eclipsing the Big East record of 96 held by former Syracuse quarterback Donovan McNabb.

On a side note, Cal is giving Standford the Axe! When the Axe changes campuses, class is canceled for two days. Go Bears!

Oh, to be on Shattuck tonight.
