Beware the divisions (4.00 / 2)
When this vote occurs tomorrow, you will find some Republicans supporting it and some Democrats opposing it. Only in a measure relating to gay rights will you find Democrats actually supporting discrimination. To paraphrase a conversation I had with a particular Democratic Senator,

"If I own property, I should be allowed to rent to whomever I wish."

He feared that even talking about the subject causes more division and implied that he would oppose such anti-discrimination laws relating to RACE except that federal law already protects that class.

As I made that Senator aware, I voted for him in his last two elections without question, but no more. I will supporting any primary opponent or Republican opponent in his next election. And, I will further vow to get at least 50 of his constituents under the age of 30 to do the same.

Discrimination in any form is immoral and unAmerican.

Update on the Senator I referred to... (4.00 / 1)
The Senator referred to in the earlier post apparently changed his mind and voted YES on SB 238 today.

Maybe the fact that he represents the county with the highest unemployment rate in WV convinced him it would be wise to support legislation which expands employment.
