President Obama visits the troops in Iraq

President Barack Obama was in the neighborhood and met with the troops.

BAGHDAD - Cheered wildly by U.S. troops, President Barack Obama flew unannounced into Iraq on Tuesday and promptly declared it was time for Iraqis to "take responsibility for their country" after America's commitment of six years and thousands of lives.

"You have given Iraq the opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country," the president said as he made a brief inspection of a war he opposed as candidate and now vows to end as commander in chief. "That is an extraordinary achievement."

It's really funny how little you know on these issues. In 2008 Barack Obama made his proposal during the campaign in July 2008. Iraq's prime minister said he favored that proposal. Get it? Malaki said the Obama plan was the plan he wanted.

Then at the end of July - after Malaki endorsed Obama's plan - Bush said troop withdrawals could begin soon.

Then Bush comes out in the fall with a withdrawal plan that sounds very similar to the one Obama had proposed and Malaki had endorsed with minor changes to save Bush face. That led to the status of force agreement.

And you claim Obama sounds like Bush.

Did you really just not pay attention last summer or are you trying to rewrite history?
