| I called it this way: Creigh Deeds (48) Terry McAuliffe (29) Brian Moran (23).

Not bad. Here are the results per the Virginia State Board of Elections with 99.8 percent of the vote reporting:
Deeds 49.73 percent; McAuliffe 26.41 percent; Moran 23.84 percent.

(My predicted results were posted the evening before the election [6/8] at 7:23 p.m.)
Not bad, huh?
We all have an opportunity here to help elect Senator Deeds in Virginia this fall.
The stakes are high. Think how some in the MSM will portray a Democratic Party loss in that now deep purple state after two successive terms of Mark Warner and Tim Kaine running the show in the Richmond statehouse (notwithstanding the fact that Virginia tends to go for the opposite party the year after a change takes place in the White House).
We can all work to raise at least a little money for Senator Deeds, or put some GOTV boots on the ground.
Or both.
Creigh is from Hot Springs, in Bath County, which borders Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties here in West Virginia.
By credible accounts, such as teacherken's, he's a fine and decent man. An almost Capra-esque underdog who pulled off an enormous, eye-opening upset.

and he has had high ratings from progressive groups in the past
he is profoundly decent
and I think he would make the best governor, which is why I announced my support of him when he was a distant third in the polling.
