So as hard to kill as the flies are, what do you think the toxins are doing to people downstream?

It's like, as Clem pointed out, the canaries in the coal mines. I might not care about the canary unless I stop to wonder why it died.

very little i suspect...but i do know your computer is powered by coal

About 42 percent (4.00 / 1)
Coal is down to 42 percent for our electricity production and continues to shrink.

So if coal is so vital to our state's economy, what are we going to do when it's down to 10 percent in the not too distant future?

Ha ha, stevedubya. I made YOU look. (4.00 / 2)
Actually, it's no trouble at all because I do it as a hobby. Whipped that one up in about 5 minutes.  Tell me, does the smirk on the fat guy's mustached face look familiar to you at all, stevedubya?  Its the likely same look he gets when he beats you out of your taxes when he poisons the aquifer, and then the state ends up having to put in 2 million bucks worth of city water instead of making him fix the damage he's done.

Regarding the report on mayflies and stoneflies, Huffman's biologist said that over time that pollution can potentially have the same effect on anyone either ingesting it, or fish caught swimming in it, or food that has been cooked or grown in it.

In case you still don't get it, I'll simplify it for you even further:

It's deadly.

If you disagree, you should go ahead and drink downstream from valley fill sites all you possibly can to prove him wrong.

And by the way, your computer is powered by coal as well. So since you insist on defending the pollution, you should make it a point to bottle coal slurry up and keep it in the fridge so you can drink and cook with it exclusively.
