To paraphrase a catch phrase from a famous wrestler, "Can you smelllllllalalala what the Jay Rock is cooking?"

Senator Rockefeller goes upside the head of Senator Conrad with some serious smack:

"I'm really very tired of hearing about that from him," an exasperated Rockefeller told reporters. "And it's always about North Dakota, and it's never about any other part of the country. And I thought, you know, that's what we're trying to do--we're trying to do the best thing for the country as a whole."

The Jay Rock is going to lay the People's Elbow down on the opponents of health care reform.

Since being excluded from Conrad's Gang of 6 despite being the Chair of the Health Subcommittee in Finance, Sen. Rockefeller has pushed back against Sen. Conrad. Most of the markup hearing the body language told the tale.

Remember the study on showing Conrad's suggestion of co-ops just don't work? Conrad's is the bean counter on the committee, and it is not always what is good for North Dakota. And that "I have a CBO email" blackberry wave that shut down a Wyden amendment at the end of the Finance Committee markup? Not really.

And there wer not objections. Sen. Reid D-NV had asked for order in the Senate before this, in the middle of his speech, so there must have been a lot of "talk among yourself" in the back of the chamber.

If FEHBP is the compromise there is not abortion coverage there, so that about says it. Sen. Nelson D-NE mentioned that in his speech at 4:30PM today.
