grist.org:

Calling on their campus to move beyond coal-and use previously donated coal company contributions to honor fallen Crandall Canyon coal miners, not MSHA-fined coal barons Bob Murray and Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship-the West Virginia University Sierra Student Coalition presented over 1,000 petition signatures to WVU president Jim Clements today.

The petition called on the WVU president to "reject future donations from coal corporation CEOs Bob Murray and Don Blankenship, and demand that the WVU College of Engineering and Mineral Resources chair be named in honor of the miners who made the ultimate sacrifice, and not Murray, whose criminal negligence caused their death."

for their respective future economic prosperity and for that I applaud them loudly.  Steve is in denial about all things environmental, it's a shame really since these young adults have shown by their willingness to go against the powers that be, and that they really are learning the ways of democracy in our land, something that our interloper Steve doesn't get.

Steve, your comments are always not welcome on this blog, you will never convince any of us of your viewpoint so why not take it to the Daily Mail or WVARED where you opinion counts?

For those who click on links, this one is worth clicking. Ken Ward, Jr. on reactions (and lack thereof) to Sen. Byrd's statement on coal last week:

Sen. Byrd on coal: Wasn't anybody paying attention

Click on links? Does that require a safe word? Or is that a Tiger reference? (4.00 / 1)
Ken sees the big picture, more than the governor does, and reminds us that Sen. Byrd did, too.

Ken dismisses Hoppy, but I think that was about as far as Nick's brother could go in public while nodding his head. He will seem vapid if he agrees with a position he is not articulating to keep his job. I think maybe your suggestion he stick to sports is a good one.
