290 pieces of legislation passed by the House (0.00 / 0)
Yet here's what happens when they all hit the Senate...

Over 290 House bills have stalled in the U.S. Senate and are just sitting there. Similarly blocked by the Senate are a huge number of President Obama's nominations for key government positions, including national security "czars".

Yet Democrats have a clear majority in both houses. Republicans love to say that Democrats don't know how to lead and certain Dems are obviously hellbent on proving it.

And now House Democrats, especially the Democrat wing of the Democratic party are being strong-armed to pass the Blue Dog Senate version of ORahmacare, with promises being made to them that the Blue Dog Senate problems will be "fixed" at some future date just so Obama can have something to sign by Easter, but specifically one that doesn't contain a public option since apparently Rahm Emanuel, the Blue Dogs, the DLC branch of the Democratic Party, the health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies don't want any public option in any HCR bill, now or in the future.

Passing a bill isn't simple, but on the other hand it's pretty plain to see who did their level best to kill the most effective parts of reform. On top of that, the President's Chief of Staff has obviously decided that one of his priorities is to demoralize the Dem Progressive base. Perhaps Rahm's outburst was because knew he was guilty for the Massachusetts Massacre when 900,000 Dems stayed home for want of a public option.

Every time I hear Rockefeller deliver that "Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good" tripe I just wanna retch. Why am I the only one who insists that Rockefeller stop letting bad be the enemy of the good?

The right-wing extremists (most of whom do not even live in the Ohio Valley) are freaking out on the Wheeling newspaper's website. Check it out for a good laugh. You will witness a real, live mental breakdown.
