This party school ranking of West Virginia University could help explain why the 304 area code so often appears on TextsFromLastNight.com for such a small state (language not safe for work).

Au contraire, mon frère! (0.00 / 0)
For those of you who attended the Heather Breasch school of No-Knocks Linguistics and couldn't understand French if it stuck its tongue directly into yer cakehole, PAL, the coal-dominated economy of West Virginia is a troubling example of a number of distinguished "firsts".

Despite $118 million in coal-mining annual income, West Virginia has the nation's lowest median household income, worst educational services, worst social assistance, the highest population with disabilities, and  nearly a quarter of West Virginia children in poverty. A recent study by West Virginia University found that the "human cost of the Appalachian coal mining economy outweighs its economic benefits"

The coal industry generates a little more than $8 billion a year in economic benefits for the Appalachian region. But, they put the value of premature deaths attributable to the mining industry across the Appalachian coalfields at - by a most conservative estimate - $42 billion.

Stevewvu, if you actually lived here instead of posting directly from Massey headquarters you'd realize how stupid and out of touch your comments appear to the real populous of WV.

Hey, but thanks for participating, trollboy.
