We can see why Spike Maynard (R-Don Blankenship's Pocket) is getting so desperate in WV-03 because U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D) is up in the latest poll by 19 points.
Rahall leads in every demographic, men, women, union, nonunion. With 56 percent support to Spike's 37 percent, Spike could take all 7 percent of the undecideds and still trail in the double digits.
The funniest thing, though, is for all of Spike's bashing of President Obama, Obama is viewed more favorably (40 percent) than Spike (31 percent).
Manchin leads Raese 54 to 39 in WV-03, according to the poll Anzalone Listz Research taken Oct. 10-12 with interviews apportioned by past voter turnout. It has a 4.9 percent margin of error.
Rahall is a great representative for the state so this is good news.
