One of the right's nuttiest groups is back at it, this time attacking the latest recipient of the Medal of Honor:

AFA is as vile as they come. This is a group that celebrated the deaths caused by Hurrican Katrina (they said it wiped out the "rampant sin" of New Orleans) and attacked the families of the Sago miners, following the disaster in West Virginia.

And they've got an activist arm in W.Va. in the form of the West Virginia Family Foundation.

AFA and its local activists have had far too much influence on our state politicians in the past- like the time rightwing "Democrats" like Bob Plymale and John Pino co-sponsored an attempt at an anti-gay constitutional amendment, drafted, in part, by AFA.

Thankfully, wiser heads in the legislature prevailed, but Plymale's actions should always be remembered, in case he starts flirting with a run for governor again.

Anyway, It's great to have Seder and the Majority Report back to go after wingnut groups like this.
