I wonder if any of those "grassroots" conservatives coming off of election jobs still have "more important things to worry about than blogs." If they're back on the dole, maybe we'll see an exciting relaunch any day now.

Personally, I could care less about what Roman does with WV Red.  Anything you post there is completely censored and their concept was just a complete generic rip job off of what has been created here at WV Blue.

Leslie Neilsen spent a lot of time at the WV Legislature.  I was never sure why he was there, it just added to the carnival atmosphere.

Neilsen Honored by West Virginia

Seems in 2002 Sec. of State Manchin made him an honorary citizen.

OMG, his Twitter stream reads like a parody of a wingnut.

Is he trying to be the next Tucker Carlson? If so, wow...what a dream...

Roman and Southern WV (4.00 / 3)
Between Roman and others of his ilk they screwed up and pissed off a lot of local Republicans and conservative Democrats in Senate District 10 and House of Delegates District 24. They blew away the appointed replacement, John Shott, for the deceased Senator Don Caruth in District 10 and nominated a real nobody in Marty Gearheart to replace Bill Cole who was appointed to replace John Shott in the house of Delegates when he moved to the Senate.

As a result they lost 2 Senate seats in District 10.  They would have likely lost 1, but did stand a chance to hold one if they had run John Shott.  In the case of District 24 in the House of Delegates they have given perennial candidate Gearheart an office that he will hold for 2 years and then lose in a primary 2 years from now. If they renominate Gearheart he will lose to whoever the Democratic party nominates.

Of course all of this will be moot when all of these districts are realigned before 2012.

Great job Roman keep up the good work.
