Check out the new video "Faces of Reform in West Virginia" by West Virginians for Affordable Health Care (WVAHC). It features real stories about how real West Virginians are being impacted by the Affordable Care Act.
In addition, WVAHC and Health Reform West Virginia are offering several free educational sessions to explaining the Affordable Care Act (ACA) throughout West Virginia during the next 2 months.
The workshops are a train-the-trainer format and include lunch, training materials, sample agendas, discussion guide, a DVD of real West Virginians and the positive impact that the ACA has had on their lives, and all of the materials participants need to hold a public education meeting in their own community.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and the workshops will be held from 10:00 a.m. -- 2:30 p.m. on the following dates at these locations:
Saturday, May 21 at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown
Saturday, June 4 at the auditorium at Northern Community College in Wheeling
Saturday, June 11 at the Armory in Beckley
Saturday, June 18 at the Rumsey Room at Shepherd University in Shepherstown
Saturday, June 25 at the Black Building in Parkersburg
Saturday, July 9 at Shoenbaum Family Enrichment Center in Charleston
Saturday, July 16 at Corbley Hall Room 104 at Marshall University in Huntington
