Oliverio reconsiders.

The title says it all. Sue Thorn will be on Daily Kos tonight, so stop by there to discuss what this means.

Sue Thorn (4.00 / 3)
Sue Thorn makes me proud to be a Democrat.  I don't get that feeling as often as I would like.  WV-1 will have a real choice this time.  Bushstache v.  a real Democrat.

Oliverio (4.00 / 2)
apparently couldn't take another grilling from North Central WV DFA members. The last time he held a public forum (2010) he stopped it an hour early to avoid any more real questions.

I doubt we're fortunate enough (4.00 / 2)
to have Oliverio out of WV politics - I wouldn't be surprised to see him put his name on the ballot for statewide office next year, either for agriculture commissioner or as the Chamber's quadrennial rightwing "Democratic" challenger to McGraw.

I agree (4.00 / 1)
He will be running for something.

Oliverio's next campaign (4.00 / 1)
will be quite a step down after running for Congress. Of course his buddy Joe Manchin may be able to offer him more help at the state level. Or maybe he will finally switch parties, the Republicans have asked him several times.

Great news (4.00 / 3)
I called his office a couple a weeks ago and told him he should get out  because many democrats blame him for losing the WV01 to a teabagger. Now that I think about it maybe I should have thanked him because now we get to vote for a real Democrat!

Can you call McKinley next? (0.00 / 0)
He is getting old and I hear that the Washington culture isn't to his liking. Wheeling is a much nicer place to live, and all of his friends and family are there. Up there he will be a respected pillar of the community, not just another new congressman at the bottom of the seniority heap.

Perhaps you could make a similar call (4.00 / 2)
to our junior senator. Tell him we would prefer a senator who doesn't vote against the Constitution on indefinite detention. (WWRBD)What would Robert Byrd do? Also that ALEC association of his and the Koch Brothers donations tarnish the Democratic Party image.

I have a long (4.00 / 1)
List of people for you to call.
